300f Shown is a black Akro Agate #300F Ribbed Band Pot, that we got recently. Black Akro items are always nice to add to a collection.
1309 Shown are two Akro Agate #1300 series Pots: a plain deep royal blue #1309 and an orange, factory decorated #1310. (The factory decoration on the #1310 is somewhat faded and worn, but the Pot itself is in mint condition.) Any of Akro's five types of #1300 series Pots are hard to find.
Ribbed Band Pots Our complete set of Akro Ribbed Band Pots, from the tiny #290 Thumb Pot to the Wide Band Top Pot.
Stacked Disc Pots Our collection of the fours sizes of the Akro Stacked Disc Pots. These were only made in marbleized colors.
Banded Dart A complete set of Akro's #300, #301, and #302 Banded Dart Pots. The molds for these were modified from Westite's #300, #301, and #302 Plain Band Pots (see our Westite section).
301 BDP Shown is a green marbleized Akro Agate #301 Banded Dart Pot. The marbleized Banded Dart Pots can be hard to find.
Ribs and Flutes Our set of of Akro's Ribs and Flutes Pots, from the Slightly Flaired Scalloped Top Pot to the #307 Scalloped Top Pot.
297cf Recently won on Ebay is this lovely, mint condition, ivory (custard) Akro #297CF (Slightly Flaired) Ribs and Flutes Pot. It has a slight blush of orange and pink. These #297CF Pots are always hard to find. This one came from the collection of a noted Akro author and collector, which for us, at least, gives it added worth and provenance.
Graduated Dart Our set of Akro Graduated Dart Pots, ranging in size from the royal blue Three Dart Pot, on up to the #308 "Grandaddy" Pot.
3 dart pots Shown are two Akro Agate 3-Dart Pots in deep royal blue and in marbleized green. Akro's 3-Dart Pots can be hard to find.
pot w/ saucer Shown is our group of Akro Agate 5-Dart Pots sitting on their Saucers. The hardest one to find is the blue set. The yellow 5-Dart Pot is sitting on a lightly orange marbelized Saucer. (Akro, for some reason, never made yellow Saucers for their yellow 5-Dart Pots.) As stated in the Hardys' 1998 Akro Book, the Saucers for the 5-Dart Pots are indeed often harder to find than the Pots themselves!
Combo Pot An Akro #295 Combo Pot in ivory. It was photographed on its side to better display the banded darts showing under the rim of its ribbed band. The Combo Pot is a modification of Akro's #302 Banded Dart Pot, which itself was a modification of Westite's #302 Plain Band Pot. These Akro Combo Pots are rare and hard to find.
Flower Pots Shown are two marbleized Akro Agate #298 Plain Mini-Pots. The one on the left, marbleized in orange and yellow, is a recent acquisition. The one on the right is marbleized in orange, yellow, and oxblood. These Akro #298 Plain Mini-Pots, whether solid color or marbleized, are hard to find.
298 Shown are three Plain Mini-Pots in solid green, solid yellow, and in solid custard. The custard Pot could be Westite, since both Akro Agate and Westite made items in this color, and the pots are not marked. The Westite #298 Plain Band Pots and Akro's #298 Plain Mini-Pots were sequentially made from the same mold, by Westite and then later, after Westite's destructive fire in 1936, by Akro Agate.
Decoration Shown is a milkglass white Akro Agate #300F Ribbed Band Pot hand-decorated with a grouping of pink and blue flowers and green foliage. Hand-painted or factory-decorated Akro items are always nice to find.
Decorated Pot Shown is a solid green Akro Agate #291&1/2" Ribbed Band Pot with hand decoration.
Akro Stand Shown is a solid green Akro Agate Pot Stand that we recently obtained. These were manufactured in limited numbers and were always sold separately from the pots or vases that were chosen to be placed on them.
