OUR AKRO AGATE & WESTITE GLASSWARE COLLECTION     Fr. Akro & Kathy

In August of 2001 we found an odd little item in an antique shop. It was a slag glass planter, marbleized in green and blue. We later found out, after researching the trademark on its base, that it was a piece of Akro Agate glassware, made in Clarksburg, WV, and was called a Lily Planter.

One thing led to another, and we began to collect this Akro stuff, joined the Akro Agate Collectors Club, attended our first Convention in 2002, and became real little "Akro piggies"!       Now we have a large collection of Akro Agate and Westite glassware, that we are sharing with you on this website. Some of the pieces are very rare indeed, others are easily found with a little searching.

More items will be placed on this website, as we add them to our collection.

Meanwhile, have fun collecting Akro Agate and Westite glassware! Fr. Akro & Kathy
